Frontex ED4BG 2015 conference brochure
In 2015, Frontex returned to us to design the brochure for the European Day for Border Guards (ED4BG) conference. However, this time around we had a more reasonable deadline. We decided to use smaller B5 format and create a cover with wings. The front cover was folded outside so we could place a conference programme on it. The back cover was folded inside and contained the map.
The whole text was set in FF Good Condensed. I designed a pattern with golden yellow triangles that I used on the cover with additional materials. The challenge here was to prepare the brochure for print as really thin yellow lines on a black background are quite risky. Thanks to the excellent prepress skills of a colleague, Tomasz Kuc, printery was able to produce it and the effects were spectacular.
The brochure contained timelines for the lectures, a bio for each speaker, info about the conference partners and short descriptions of the documentary movies just like the last. In addition to the brochure, I designed a poster for the movie section and a dinner invitation.
